Previous guests rave about having a well-appointed kitchen during their stay, allowing them to enjoy home-cooked meals and gather around the table for quality time together. The 1,850 square-foot home boasts a thoughtfully designed, well-appointed kitchen (with luxury brands like Portmeirion dishware, Wüsthof knives, food processor, KitchenAid mixer & cookware) that makes meal preparation as easy as being home. Whether you’re making pancakes for the kids or recreating a favorite recipe, you’ll find everything you need at your fingertips.
The south-facing sunroom is the perfect spot to relax after a day at Atwater Beach (5 block-walk), Summerfest, or maybe seeing a Brewers game (15 min drive). The living room features luxury seating (Crate & Barrel furnishings), a curated selection of coffee table books & design magazines, as well as a smart TV for streaming your favorite shows and movies. Each of the 3 bedrooms are equally comfy. Equipped with high thread-count bed linens and tasteful décor, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Sound machines, upon request. And clearly, I love fresh flowers + vibrant plants so if you stay during summertime, you’ll likely find fresh flowers in your space.
But beyond the comfy spaces… perhaps the best feature of this property is its prime location in the heart of Shorewood. Guests enjoy the convenience of walking to grab coffee (at Stone Creek Coffee or City Market Café & Bakehouse are both within a quick 2-block walk), as well as bars, pharmacies and grocery stores (all within 3-4 blocks). It’s easy to load up the stroller and walk over to Atwater School Playground or pickleball courts (1 block south).
As you may know, the vibrant Shorewood community offers a small-town feel with easy access to the city, making it a highly desirable place to be. Whether you’re strolling along the tree-lined streets or biking along the nearby Oak Leaf Trail, Shorewood is the place to be.

Hiya! I’m Betsy.
I don’t know about you… but I always want to know a little something about my hosts when I’m staying in their house… so here’s a bit about me.
I bought my beautiful duplex in 2007, and as someone who loves to travel, hosting feels like a natural extension of that passion. I love sharing the best of Milwaukee has to offer.
I took a break from hosting on Airbnb in 2020. 2025 is the relaunch. The house will be fully ready for occupancy in April, 2025. Ready for the summer season. Bring it!
I live on the second floor of the duplex with my lovable 45 lb black & white mutt, Derby, who you will likely meet during your stay. Derby is practically a celebrity around Shorewood. He’s 19 different breeds and 100% pure love. I am a fan of interior design (my kitchen was recently featured in Milwaukee Magazine) and never forgetting that a home must function well while also being cozy, warm, and full of personality. Whether it’s offering local tips, sharing a good conversation, or just providing a peaceful retreat, I take pride in making guests’ experience memorable. Hosting has taught me so much about people and how even small friendly gestures can make a big impact.
Milwaukee is not just where I live; it’s where my heart is. I was born here and after spending 20 years living away, I realized there’s no place quite like it. This city has a unique charm, from its vibrant neighborhoods to its incredible food and culture, and I love sharing it with others. Hosting allows me to showcase Milwaukee as one of the best cities in the world, and it’s a joy to see guests fall in love with Milwaukee, too.
